DOWNEY - Anita Carvajal, a homemaker and 18-year resident of Downey, passed away July 12. She was 88.She was born in Mexico and belonged to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Downey. She is survived by her family, Fred Carvajal, of Downey; Carolyn (Mel) Brencius, of Hacienda Heights; Rudolph Carvajal, of Downey; Emilia (Louis)‚ÄàMartinez, of Whittier; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister. A funeral Mass was held Wednesday. Burial was private.
