'A Charlie Brown Christmas' live on stage in Cerritos

CERRITOS -- "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will usher in the holiday season when it plays the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

There will be two performances that day -- at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at cerritoscenter.com.

Charles Schulz's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" first aired on television in 1965. It's since become a holiday tradition and adapted for the stage.

The story follows Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they mount a play, save a tree, and uncover the true meaning of Christmas in the stage adaptation.

The production features the timeless score of Vince Guaraldi.
