A 5K Turkey Trot run/walk and turkey giveaway was hosted by the Watts Healthy Farmers Market on Nov. 22. Names of deserving families were submitted by local community partners, churches, and schools. In partnership with the Kaiser Permanente Watts Learning Center, 500 turkeys and 200 “Boxes of Love” filled with Thanksgiving dinner necessities donated by physicians and staff from Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center were distributed to these families.
