DOWNEY – A 5K run/walk honoring the memory of late Downey police officer Rickey Galvez will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey. 

Registration is $40 if purchased online at racewire.com. On-site registration is $45 and begins at 6 am. 

Warm-ups begin at 7 am, with the run starting at 7:30. 

The event is hosted by the Downey Police Officers’ Association and Friends of the Downey Police K-9 Foundation. Both are nonprofit organizations.
