Lupita Infante to be honored at Latino Spirit Awards

DOWNEY – Downey singer Lupita Infante has been selected by the California Latino Legislative Caucus to be honored at its 22nd annual Latino Spirit Awards.

Infante was one of 16 prominent Latinos chosen for the honor, which includes prominent Latinos in technology, journalism, media, literature, health and science, advocacy, business, education, human rights, arts, public service, and entertainment.

Infante and the other honorees will be recognized today on the Assembly floor at the state capitol.

In addition to Infante, the other honorees include Vanessa Aguilar, Rafael Agustin, Castulo de la Rocha, Joe L. Del Bosque, Ignacio Gomez, Jorge Gutierrez, Dr. Jose Hernandez, Doris Munoz, Pilar Nino, Dr. Diana Ramos, Maite Gomez-Rejon, Diana Riva, MANA de San Diego, Nancy Sutley and Lisa Vidal.
