International Food Festival returns Sept. 12

DOWNEY – The City of Downey will host the International Food & Music Festival on Sept. 12 from 4-11 p.m. in Downtown Downey. 

Previously known as the Taste of Downey, the event features Downey-based restaurants, multiple entertainment stages highlighting world music and dance, a family fun zone, and a local celebrity chef demonstration.

The goal of the International Food Festival is to highlight various restaurants in the community and celebrate Downey’s rich diversity. 

The city is currently accepting applications for restaurants vendors. Restaurant vendors will be able to sell their food at the event. 

Log-on to the city’s website at downeyca.org for an application or call (562) 904-7166. Deadline to apply is Friday, July 10.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the International Food Festival. Deadline to apply is Monday, July 27. Three sponsorship opportunities are available:

International Food & Music Festival Title Sponsor - $5,000
World Entertainment Sponsor - $2,500
Family Fun Zone - $1,000
